a strong foundationMoulding Contracts was originally formed in Manchester as a family run business in 1950 by Robert Moulding (Senior) It progressed steadily from a small local plant hire company to a general earthmoving specialist operating in quarries throughout the North of England. In April 1970 R. Moulding (Contractors Plant) Limited was formed and continued to prosper. After the current Managing Director, Robert Moulding (Junior), had taken control of the company in 1996, a joint venture was formed with the land reclamation and landfill engineering specialist Claypath Limited who originated in the North East of England. Such was the success of the joint venture that the management of both companies decided to amalgamate and in December 1997 Moulding Contracts Limited was incorporated. The Company has continued to grow maintaining an annual turnover of in excess of £20 million and employing around 120 permanent personnel.
